Right oblique transthoracic electrocardiogram.

چکیده
In clinical electrocardiography many attempts have been made to achieve a higher degree of accuracy in the interpretation. One controversial subject is whether unipolar chest leads are more useful than Latterly he tested a transthoracic lead with the indifferent electrode placed in the 4th intercostal space at the right sternal border (station 1) and the exploring electrode placed in the left posterior axillary line (station 7). According to Evans this "right oblique lead" gives more information than conventional leads in patients with lateral or postero-lateral infarction. We, therefore, began using this lead together with routine leads at rest and in connexion with exercise tests, and hoped to achieve an improvement in the reliability of diagnosing coronary insufficiency. We also recorded the right oblique lead in normal subjects .

Lipoma of the right atrium.
A 66-year-old asymptomatic woman was admitted to our hospital with the diagnosis of a right atrial mass detected on an outside transthoracic echocardiogram and confirmed on transesophageal echocardiography. Physical examination and basal electrocardiogram were normal. Transthoracic echocardiography revealed a 3.8 x 2.5 cm echogenic mass in the right atrium. A multislice CT examination demonstra...

Case report An 18-year-old male patient experienced frequent episodes of palpitations for 6 months. He was referred to our hospital for catheter ablation. This patient had no prior history of structural cardiovascular disease. His chest radiograph and transthoracic echocardiogram showed no abnormalities. The electrocardiogram (ECG) showed Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome at baseline (Figure 1A) a...
متن کاملVery Late Dislocation of an AMPLATZER Septal Occluder Device Suspected Thanks to a Recent Onset of Right-Axis Deviation.
D ata on late complications after percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects (ASDs) are still sparse. This is the first report of a very late dislocation of an AMPLATZER septal occluder (ASO) device (St. Jude Medical, St. Paul, Minnesota) 14 years after placement. A 74-year-old Caucasian woman was admitted to our department for a syncopal event preceded by palpitations. Her medical history i...
متن کاملImages in Cardiovascular Medicine Pulsatile To-and-Fro Flow Detected by Contrast-Enhanced Electrocardiogram-Gated Computed Tomography A Novel Method for Detecting the Leakage Point of a Pseudoaneurysm
A 64-year-old man came to the emergency department complaining of dyspnea. He had a history of ascending aortic pseudoaneurysm treated by ascending aortic and total arch replacement 2 months before. Because he had had deep vein thrombosis of the femoral vein, pulmonary thromboembolism was suspected, and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) of the chest was performed. The dose-length produ...
متن کاملRight atrial thrombosis as a complication of arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy.
A 65-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital due to palpitation. Electrocardiogram (ECG) showed ventricular tachycardia originating from the right ventricle, and transthoracic echocardiography revealed dilatations of the right atrium and ventricle. The diagnosis of arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy was made. Eleven months later, echocardiography revealed a solid thrombus (36x3...
